Major donation

Historic major donation of $1 million to the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS) for the redevelopment of its paediatric oncology unit.

2014

Inauguration of the Unité d’oncologie pédiatrique Charles-Bruneau

With three times more space dedicated to paediatric hematology-oncology and twice as many treatment chairs, increasing from three to six. The new unit also includes an adapted procedure room, three examination rooms, two controlled-pressure rooms, dedicated spaces for children and teenagers, and multipurpose rooms for art therapy and massage therapy.

2021

Close to $250,000 for the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS

A donation from the Fondation Charles-Bruneau to support a pharmacist position dedicated to the development of the pediatric pharmacological research sector in the context of the CHUS’s recent membership of the COG, and thus accelerate the opening of therapeutic studies.The support of Fondation Charles-Bruneau will also fund the acquisition of necessary material resources.

2025

A $4.8M engagement to support the research

A $4.8M investment to strengthen the multidisciplinary paediatric hematology-oncology team, expand access to clinical trials and advanced treatments for young patients in the region, and provide teams with specialized equipment.

    This new five-year commitment of $4,763,832 to the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS will support paediatric hematology-oncology expertise in Sherbrooke, give young patients greater access to clinical trials, and support clinical and research teams with state-of-the-art equipment.

    Through this historic commitment, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau reaffirms its core mission: to cure every child with cancer, without long-term side effects or complications, no matter where they live in Quebec.
