The Fondation Charles-Bruneau was born out of a promise made to a child: To never stop searching, innovating and working to overcome paediatric cancer. Since 1990, each of our actions has been guided by a pledge to finance leading-edge research in paediatric hematology and oncology and offer children with cancer the best chances of recovery.
The Fondation that’s pushing back against cancer
In 35 years, the survival rate for paediatric cancer has increased from 30% to more than 80% in Quebec.This is no coincidence. It is the result of funded, coordinated and acclerated research. The Fondation unifies the four main university hospital centres in the province (the CHU Sainte-Justine, the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the CHU de Québec and the CHUS) to ensure that science avances faster than the disease.
